RULES


TEAMS ARE ALLOWED TO REFER TO THEIR COMPLETE COPY OF THE 2022 LEAGUE RULES AT A LEAGUE GAME.

IN CASE OF DISPUTE, THE FOLLOWING RANKING OCCURS:
(1) LEAGUE RULES TAKE FIRST PRIORITY; (2) SPN RULE BOOK TAKES SECOND PRIORITY
AGE MIN. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

TEAM MIN. A FULL TEAM (10 PLAYERS) WILL CONSIST OF 6 MALE (MAXIMUM) AND 4 FEMALE PLAYERS.
YOU MAY PLAY WITH 8 PLAYERS WITH A MINIMUM OF 3 FEMALES.
THERE IS NO AUTO OUT PENALTY.
THERE IS NO MAXIMUM TO THE NUMBER OF BATTERS YOU CAN HAVE.
TIME LIMITS THERE ARE NO TIME LIMITS ON GAMES. 7 INNINGS MAXIMUM AS LIGHT ALLOWS.

GAME SETUP: THE HOME TEAM WILL SETUP THE FIELD AT THE START OF EACH GAME AND SUPPLY THE GAME BALLS.

GRACE PERIOD THERE IS A GRACE PERIOD OF 15MINS. AFTER 20 MINS, THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL BE PENALIZED WITH 5 RUNS AGAINST, AND GAME STARTS IN THE 2ND INNING. IF THEY CANNOT FIELD A TIME AT THAT TIME, THEY WILL HAVE TO FORFEIT WITH A SCORE OF 7-0.

DURING THE GAME •
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE AMOUNT OF FEMALE BATTERS THAT CAN BAT IN A ROW.
• BUNTING: FEMALES ARE ALLOWED TO BUNT. THEY STRIKE OUT IF THEY FOUL OUT ON THEIR 3RD STRIKE IN A BUNT ATTEMPT.
THERE IS STILL NO LIMIT TO THE AMOUNT OF FOULS A BATTER CAN HAVE IF THEY ARE SWINGING.

• SLIDING: SLIDING IS ALLOWED AT 2ND AND 3RD BASE AND RETURNING TO 1ST.
• SLIDING AT 1ST AND HOME WILL BE AN AUTOMATIC OUT.
• ENCROACHMENT LINE: TWO CONES ARE SETUP APPROX 130' FROM HOME PLATE ON THE 1ST AND 3RD BASELINE SO THAT OUTFIELDERS CANNOT COME CLOSER WHEN A GIRL IS UP TO BAT. PLAYERS MAY ONLY PROCEED INSIDE THE ENCROACHMENT LINE AFTER THE BALL HAS BEEN HIT.
• FORCE OUT AT HOME: A RUNNER MAY NOT BE TAGGED BETWEEN THE COMMITMENT LINE AND THE SCORING LINE. RUNNERS MUST TOUCH THE SCORING LINE OTHERWISE THEY ARE OUT!
• COURTESY RUNNERS: ARE ALLOWED AT ANY BASE, ANY NUMBER OF TIMES AND IT MUST BE THE LAST BATTER OUT.

• PINCH HITTERS: PINCH HITTERS ARE ALLOWED FOR INJURY REASONS ONLY. RUNNERS WILL LINE UP WITH THE 3RD BASELINE AND START RUNNING AFTER THE BAT HAS TOUCHED THE GROUND. THE LAST BATTER OUT WILL BE THE COURTESY RUNNER.

• SUBSTITUTIONS: UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF SUBSTITUTES DURING THE GAME

• ANTICIPATION RULE: ONE WARNING PER TEAM, THEN RUNNERS WILL BE CALLED OUT

• A WALK TO A MALE BATTER, WITH A FEMALE NEXT, WITH NO STRIKES, WILL BE AWARDED 2 BASES

• PITCHES: MUST HAVE AN ARCH OF AT LEAST 6” AND MAX OF 12”. ILLEGAL PITCHES ARE DECLARED DEAD BALLS AND CANNOT BE HIT. IF DEAD BALLS ARE HIT, THE PLAY IS BROUGHT BACK AND EVERYONE RETURNS TO THEIR PREVIOUS POSITIONS AND A “BALL” IS CALLED.

• HITTING THE PITCHER: BATTERS ARE OUT IF THEY HIT THE PITCHER WITH THE BALL OR IF HE HAS NO TIME TO REACT TO THE BALL.

BANNED BATS: AS OF RIGHT NOW ONLY ASA AND USSA BATS ARE ALLOWED WITH A MAX BPF OF 1.2

SCORING
• THERE IS NO MERCY RULE.
• MAXIMUM OF 5 RUNS PER INNING. THE 7TH INNING IS AN OPEN INNING.
• RUNNERS MUST TOUCH THE SCORING LINE. IF THEY TOUCH THE HOME PLATE THEY WILL BE CALLED OUT.

BATTING ORDER
• NO LIMIT TO THE AMOUNT OF BATTERS (THE WHOLE TEAM CAN BAT IF YOU LIKE)
• MAX TWO MALE BATTERS IN A ROW NO AUTO OUTS
• BUNTING ALLOWED FOR FEMALE BATTERS ONLY. THEY STRIKE OUT ON The 3RD STRIKE IN A BUNT ATTEMPT.
• THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE AMOUNT OF FOULS IF THEY ARE SWINGING.
• RESCHEDULING GAME RESCHEDULING MAY BE BOOKED THROUGH THE LEAGUE COMMISSIONER
